Yee-Haw for Hee-Haw!

George Jones looks ready to hit the gridiron! Heh. :p

Here we see the original art on the back, which is a nice touch. :)

Hard to imagine a time when country and western wasn't all-pervasive. I remember being impressed with Roy Clark's banjo skill as a youngster, but overall, I was not into country music at all, so I paid little attention to the show. I think I'd like it now, especially for the musical guests (especially anyone in bluegrass).

[watercolor] Paint Your Wagon

A lot of soundtrack albums are kinda "meh" in the art department, often just a collage of stills from the movie, but this one from "Paint Your Wagon" is original art all the way!

Another cover that tells you nothing, but very nice!

And it's a gatefold. :) Would be nice enough to frame if it was mint.

Let's take a look inside...

Another gatefold, of course. Some nice paintings again and a bit of info about who starred in the movie.

Lee Marvin

A somewhat unflattering rendition of Jean Seberg. I'm more interesteed in the guy behind her! Looks like The Scarecrow or something! :p Same about the holes. Maybe it was a promo copy.

Here's a nice candid picture of Seberg on the set...

She's letting them breathe. :p (but filling them with garbage...)

And finally, Clint Eastwood...

Well, of the three, the artist certainly depicted Lee Marvin the best.

Hey, gang!

How about some happiness songs? Here you go!

I wonder how much actual setting up was done for this. It does look like they could've just shown up at a ball park, grabbed a bunch of kids and taken a pic. (though I think the flag may be a plant)

I'm not just zooming in on this kid; this is actually the back cover. Good thing there's a front one, or it sure wouldn't tell you much. :p There's a bit of damage, unfortunately. It's basically a big sticker, which makes me wonder if there's something more/different underneath. Not gonna try to remove it to find out.

Dig them shins!

Another album from the long line of Living Guitars...albums. Nice track selection!

'What is a shindig?', you ask. (right?!) Here's the answer, straight from the nondescript back cover:

We know now, don't we, gang? :-)

The dog days of summer

...are here and it isn't even summer yet. Sweet mercy was it annoyingly hot and humid here today! :p Anyway...

Cute cover. No info, though. Let's take a look at the back...

Nothin'. Couldn't get my camera to focus properly, either. That text in the top right corner is just the album number.

The name of the group and album title is on the spine, but mine is actually a bit damaged, so I could only guess at the full name[s]! :p I guess I'll have to look in the gatefold (and what if it was sealed? Haha.)...

Aha! Duffy. "Just in Case You're Interested..." Yes, I am! The funny thing is, it only lists their first names. No idea who is who in the pic, either. I had to go to the internet to find out more. (I had to be specific and add the album title, since there's also the current British pop tart Duffy) Turns out this is a British hard rock album from 1971. The lineup comprises: Stuart Reffold (vocals), Barry Coote (guitar), Joe Nanson (keyboards), Patrick Sarjeant (bass), Will Wright (drums).

Here's the excellent "Rock Solid" (but you'll really want to hear the whole album!):

Odd connection I just discovered!: Whilst looking at the pop singer Duffy's wiki entry (again, here), it turns out her full name is Amie Ann Duffy. The fourth track of Side 1 of this album is called..."Amie"! :o She was only born in 1984, so I wonder if maybe her parents liked this album and...nahhhhh. :p
