Sesame Street 2

You know it's old when Mr. Hooper is featured. Took a long time before I ran across this one.

Did anyone else view the Muppets as an entirely different entity? I mean, I always knew they were the same thing made by the same person/people, but since we didn't really see the Sesame Street and Muppets characters together... I dunno, I was little, leave me alone. ;)

More of that nice art style in the gatefold.

Punch-out signs, "Monster"? (no Cookie?) I don't think I have those.

Still a woman?

I presume she still is one.

Always interesting to see these non-compilation K-tel records. Pre-research, I figured Sandy was a Canadian singer getting her break on the major-label-but-not-really-major-label K-tel, but nope, way off! She's an accomplished American songer and her first album was "Born a Woman"...in 1966! I'm guessing K-tel got the rights to it and released it in 1982 with a current picture and some newer songs. More info on this album here.

And here's her hit, Born a Woman:

Seems very familiar! It's like a Women's Lib anthem! :o

Nice back!

The title is an inside joke. Pay it no mind. On with the post!

You've done it again, George old boy! She reminds me of someone, but I'm not sure who. As nice as this cover is, I don't think any will beat George's "Black Satin", which is just perfect.

I'll have to look up Latin Escapade.

A nice Latin-styled drawing from the back cover. I like it a lot!

Faster?

No, just a regular Pussycat.

The three girls are sisters, of the Kowalczyk variety.

Here's their hit "Mississippi", which went to #1 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1976! (it also went to #1 in 7 other areas/countries)

Really nice song! I was expecting more of a disco/pop vibe from them, judging by the front cover, but here we have some...how would you say it?...smooth country? :)

Mmm...rock sandwich

Looks like a promo copy or something, which is kind of a shame, but oh well. I think I saw the back cover first, but the front would've been an eye-catcher too! :) An AllMusic reviewer thinks the bacon is raw, but...isn't it just thick, or a type they're not familiar with? Looks like maybe it's back bacon or peameal, which is lighter anyway,  so...? I dunno, I'm no bacon expert. What say ye?

Looks like caraway rye, which is an excellent choice!
