Wild about Jack!

Best known for roles in Oliver! and H.R. Pufnstuf, Jack Wild also had a musical career, and boy oh boy, you can sure tell they were trying to turn him into the latest, greatest heartthrob of the time, as evidenced by the pictures below!
Jack galore!

The ol' vital stats gatefold. Everything you wanted (?) to know about Jack, but didn't ask. :p I suppose this was very important info for teen and pre-teen girls.

Here's a nice interview not long after his 'Best Supporting Actor' nomination for Oliver!

Judy, Judy, Judy!

Needless to say, this album caught my attention in the thrift store...
Yeah, this is the back cover first. Heh.
Pretty lady. :) Are her eyes really that blue? More on Judy here and here!

The title track hit #66 on the U.S. Hot 100 list and #16 on the U.S. Adult Contemporary list. Here it is:

The "genius" of Max Bygraves

Notice anything stupid about this cover? No, not that...

This! Great editing job, guys. 'Oops, we pretty much chopped off her head!' 'Don't worry, no one will notice, not even by the year 2013!' No wonder The Goodies made fun of him so often. ;)

Alrighty, then.

Connie's product placement

Nice vibrant cover. :)

Ah, this is the reason for the whole thing. (this takes up the bottom 1/3 of the back cover) I saw a picture of this same album somewhere except it was a different company advertising their wares. Everything else was the same. I guess they just made one greatest hits album and let multiple companies use it.

The Danish blues

Pleasant cover, pleasant lady.

See, I have the blues cuz I found out this is a stankin' christmas album. Oh well.

Daimi was pretty big in her native Denmark, even performing many times with Dirch Passer. (even I know who he is!) Here's a clip of them on stage together:

P.S. Anyone else getting tired of the learning curve that keeps...curving here? They've messed up the HTML mode now, too! >:-( It's like pulling teeth trying to get everything to line up properly.

K-tel's Starburst

That's a good lookin' cover, I tell you what!

Very plain back cover, as expected.

Quite a variety of big hits and a few I've never heard of. Peter Brown? Prism? (thought that was a religious outfit) Doucette? (Ah yes, Jerry Doucette. Funnily enough, the next album in my picture folder is by a Gerry Doucette!)

Technical Hawaiian

Super cutey on this Phase 4 Stereo album. (also the name of a good killer ant movie)

Same super cutey on this otherwise very plain back cover.

Ah, now here's what sets this album apart! I love these old super technical notes they made for certain recording techniques. This is the only one I have that even includes an overlapping sheet!

Under the sheet...much more tech!

Havin' fun!

...with Ernie & Bert! (or Bert & Ernie, which is the order I've always used)

Bert does not look amused. What else is new?

Nice little board game gatefold in this one. :)

I always loved when they put tons of art on albums. So much more to look at and remember than just a couple of pics and a bunch of text.

"Y'all Fall Down"? Would that exclude the listener if he was singing along? Heh. I bet "Clink, Clank" was none too popular amongst parents. "Put it Away" is one that appeals to me. Reminds me of how annoyed I was when kids would come over to my house, make a mess, then I had to put it all away! :p
