The Roaring Silence

I try not to post too many mainstream-ish albums, but this cover is so cool, I just had to!

Reminded me of the ye olde Santa Cruz Skateboards 'screaming hand' logo, designed by Jim Phillips:

Gladstone

Fun, eye-catching, cow-y cover. :)

And hey, it's a gatefold!

I don't know if "A Piece of Paper" was actually a smash hit, as the cover claims, but it sure is good! I listened to it three times in preparing this post. :) Check it out!

His voice reminds me of Neil Innes' at times, which is a very good thing!

Remembering Philco...

A great brand that made some great looking models. The TVs and such, I mean!

I may have another Philco album around...

K-tel's Breakdance!

Possibly the coolest record they ever released...

Apologies for low quality of some pics, but anyway, yeah, cool, right? :) Sadly, my copy does not have the poster. :(

As opposed to most K-tel releases, this one contains a lot of useful, interesting information!

I have to be honest; I don't know any of those groups. A couple of the names sound slightly familiar, but I'm not sure...

How fast is boogie speed? Please reply with a MPH comparison. ;)

It was the golden age of breakin'...2: Electric Boogaloo. Just had to add that.

Sammy doesn't do little

He does Dolittle!

I like the style, including the simplistic feet of the giraffe and the uncolored/unfinished turtles. I sometimes wish I could draw that way, but I'm way too detail-oriented to do it successfully.

New post coming soon! (with vinyl content!)

Well, thanks to a friend in the computer business, I'm almost fully back on the information superhighway. Just setting things up now and looking forward to sharing the weirdness with everyone again real soon-like. :)

I`m not dead!

Hi. I`m not dead, just severely internetless. Well, the PS3 works, but just barely. Bottom line is, I SHALL RETURN!
