This was a nice surprise from the local Sally Ann!
An evening of songs and stories with The Voice of Doom! ;)
Nondescript back cover, but let's take a look at that letter...
Wow, amazing how things worked out! ;) I love stuff like this.
I also love stuff like this. :)
That is cool! I have a category/tag for actors who sing.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to do something like that, but I dunno if it's possible here. If it is, I'm sure it would be a very painful process. :p
DeleteI think my favorite actor album is my Scott Baio. I was unreasonably happy to find it, for some reason. :p Lisa Whelchel was a nice find, too.
You know there were TWO Scott Baio albums, right?
ReplyDeleteNot lucky enough yet to have that Lorne Greene album, but I do have his first one, Young At Heart. All standards and about as far away from the Ponderosa as he could get. Also the Bonanza Christmas album. Seek that one out.
Only two? Heh. Yeah, I'd like to find that other one sometime. There are very few I've actually bought specifically. (Emo Philips, Santana, Minibosses, Buckethead) 99% of my collection is from thrift stores and flea markets. It's more like the thrill of the surprise rather than the hunt for me. :)
DeleteExactly how I do it, right down to the percentage. I don't think I've ever out-and-out searched for something. I've been stupidly lucky in finding most of my collection. Granted, I'd be laughed out of the store if I went in requesting a lot of the records I have. Can you imagine asking a record store for The Ethel Merman Disco Album?! Thank god I found it at a Salvation Army.
