Who'se the b'y? Not I.

Dick Nolan is the b'y. And he and his massive dog are apparently very far from home!

I grew up in the Maritimes and never enjoyed this stuff. I can appreciate it, and understand that it's beloved by some, but I just got tired of it (and bands such as Great Big Sea), even though I didn't hear it too often. Not my cup of tea, b'y.

Smoooooth jazz

Didn't know what this was going in. I just liked the cover and art style. Turns out it's smoooooth jazz, as the title indicates.

Nice clean style on the back, and I dig the song titles, too! Good writeup about Moe here.

Another Conniff cutie!

Yep, Ray Conniff was one of the cheesecake kings. It certainly worked! I've posted a few other Conniff covers, so have a look. Still a few more to post, too!

Kinda wish I could see what she's wearing. Judging by the bit that's showing, looks very colorful and detailed.

Young Ideas

If their young ideas are to bring a ukulele and record player to the beach, I'm all for it! Young ideas nowadays scare me, though.

Ray's trumpet has a throat. Interesting.

Spitfires

Coupla great modern day big band covers here!

Such nice watercolors. Just so you know, a Mercedes McLaren SLR at speed kinda sounds like a Spitfire. ;)

Wow, they're in good company! Heh.

Robeson, Paul Robeson.

Doesn't get more simple than that. :)

Paul Robeson was a giant of a man; a singer, actor and activist that should be better known than he is. I've heard that Steve McQueen (the director, not the King of Cool, obviously) wants to make a biopic on Robeson. Long, long overdue.
