A massive standout cover amongst all the rest.
Had to get in a little closer, of course. I wonder how they did her thigh. Did she sit that way the whole time, or did they trace it while she was sitting, then paint it while she was standing? I'm thinking too much.
Some info on Paul and his career up to that point.
Here's a shot of Paul. Did they make the right choice going cheesecake?
More on Mr. Mauriat here.

A little messy, perhaps, but not too bad. The back is worse...
Well, I guess that's to be expected with a kiddie record. ;)
No idea what "Dick Whittington and His Cat" and "The Bremen Town Musicians" are.

I could post just that and it would be awesome enough, but I'll add the info about the man and his band...
Some pretty cool extra info on Johnny here. :)
Poi oh poi, what a group! ;) They certainly went to town with the teeth whitening. Always fun to see these pre-Photoshop photo retouchings.
Here's their song "I Hear Hawaii Calling":
Nice voice, nice song.
ALERT! Turns out someone else is using the name! Check this out. Hmm... I hope this is on the up and up!

I love VHS tapes and still buy them, as recently as a couple of days ago. You can find some real gems. You can also find some real "gems." ;) Plus, the art is almost always better than on DVD and Blu-ray counterparts. I've decided to post pics of some of the more interesting ones in my collection. Come visit...

Another in the long line of 101 Strings smooth jazz albums and this one's a doozy!
Wow, what a cover!
Wow, what a back cover!
Wow, what a gatefold!
There was a quasi-follow-up the next year as well, called The "Exotic" Sounds of Love. Similar music, but with added moans, apparently? I don't have it, but here's what the cover looks like:
I definitely prefer mine.

...the Bimbo Jet! (actually, I'm sure the general public was never invited for rides on an SR-71 Blackbird)
Sort of a compilation record, as you can see.
Check out "El Bimbo" here:
More information on Bimbo Jet here.

...where you goin' with that [marimba] in your hand?
Yes, there were a lot of "Living" albums, though this is the only marimba one I have. ;) The cover certainly grabbed my attention.
The new sound from way back.
Check out "My Shawl", which is mentioned twice directly above^:
[a little] More info on Leo Addeo here.

Well, that was the idea, anyway. :p
Yes, another in the long, long line of Marcy albums. This one was a real bargain at only $1.98!
I dig the somewhat matching hair. ;) Marcy's face (Little Marcy, that is) looks like it could've been used in that Twilight Zone episode "Little Doll". Actually, Little Marcy looks a little creepier to me.
Have a look at Talky Tina from that episode and draw your own conclusion...
Anyway, here's some more info on the Marcys. Marcies? :p Even more info here!
